Walk to Mordor Contest Rules

 

During The Walk to Mordor Challenge, we offer Fresno County residents an opportunity to participate in a walking challenge and to win prizes.

 

When: The Walk to Mordor Challenge is happening from February 5 - March 31th. 

 

How to Enter to Win

Submit your activity log. You can submit each time you hit one of the five milestones or earn a badge for reading the Lord of the Rings Trilogy for a chance to win the Grand Prize.

 

Tag the Fresno County Public Library on social media: Use the hashtags #FresnoWalksToMordor and #FresnoLibrary on your social media posts. You will be entered to win one of our Grand Prizes. Be sure to make your post public so we can see it.

The Prizes:

You can enter to win one of the prizes donated by the Fresno Grizzlies. Each prize will consist of 3 tickets to a game and some Grizzlies swag.

Disclaimers:

Upon submitting a Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram post that meets the guidelines established above, eligible followers will be entered in the drawing. The contest is open to all residents of Fresno County, age 18 years and older with a Fresno County Public Library card/account, except Fresno County Public Library employees and members of those individuals' families. All contest entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on 3/31/2024. This contest is in no way sponsored or administered by any social media site. By entering, contest participants confirm they release Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter of responsibility for contest outcomes, and agree to the terms of service of these social media sites. Also, please note that entries containing vulgar or questionable content will be disqualified and removed.

Winners will be selected by random draw from among all eligible entries received, and announced on social media on Friday, April 12, 2024. Odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received, but no entrant may win multiple pairs of tickets and only one person per household may win. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No cash alternatives, substitution, or transfers of prizes will be permitted. Winners must collect their prize at a Fresno County Library Branch of their choice, during branch business hours. A prospective winner will be required to provide Fresno County Public Library with his/her/their name, library card number, and telephone number or email address, for purposes of determining eligibility.

Additionally, winners agree that Fresno County Public Library may use their posts and any associated identification (ex. Twitter handle) for advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation (except where prohibited).

The Fresno County Public Library is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that affect the prize draw or your participation in it.

The Fresno County Public Library is not responsible for:

·         lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete, or late entries

·         any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries

Fresno County Public Library is entitled to interpret these rules as required, and its decision is final. This prize draw is subject to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations. These prize rules are subject to change without notice, in order to comply with any applicable laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the prize draw.
